Sixth Anniversary for Coral Tree Express Hence the Perfect Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner

(Originally appeared in the December 27th, 2011 edition of the Century City News)
We all need places to eat that are healthy and offer enough of a variety that we keep our food interesting. Coral Tree Express is on the short list of restaurants that deliver quality meals packed with nutrition yet delightful. It seems like yesterday that Coral Tree opened up in Century City providing us with such a bounty of choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. We have all been enjoying their food in Century City for the past six years. I always get excited when I go to an event in Century City and the food is catered by Coral Tree... I say here is a host that “gets it.” When I get invited out and someone says, “Let’s go to the Coral Tree,” I know that they have refined tastes and are concerned about eating something that tastes amazing but is also going to provide nutrients.
Breakfasts provide many options from omelets, egg scrambles, burritos, frittatas, pancakes, waffles, and French toast. The applewood smoked bacon comes with many of the dishes and can be added to the others. Coral Tree also has their own brand of CafĂ© potatoes that are simply irresistible.
Lunch and dinner offer some incredible choices including: salads, sandwiches, paninis, and soups. My favorites are the turkey Bolognese angel hair pasta, cobb salad, and steak Panini.

Additionally, there are a number of beverages that include: coffee, espresso, latte, loose leaf organic tea, fruit smoothies, and fresh squeezed juices.
I also love their desserts. Bread pudding heated up with whipped cream is an excellent choice or the carrot cake… but there are so many more choices…
All of their meat and poultry is antibiotic, hormone and nitrate free. They also only use the highest quality pressed extra virgin olive and canola oils. All of the salad dressings are house made and all of their  coffees and teas are certified organic.
Here is what other people are saying about Coral Tree:
“I am NOT a morning person, so if I haul myself out of bed to meet someone for breakfast, that breakfast had better be worth it.
Well, the Coral Tree did not disappoint.
We both enjoyed our food thoroughly. I was especially surprised by the organic greens; I’d never thought to have a salad with breakfast before, but it was the perfect complement to the omelet. I’m going to have salads with breakfast more often.
It’s a nice place for a special breakfast.
And if you’re going to get me up for breakfast, it had better be special.”
“Cannot say enough good things about this place. Nice people. Great food that won’t break the bank. Great for lunch.”
“I am obsessed with the Turkey Bolognese.  I’m not quite sure why it’s so amazing, perhaps its simplicity.  The mound of capellini pasta and lightly seasoned bolognese sauce is topped with fresh basil and parmigiano reggiano cheese, with some bread and butter on the side.  I inhale that sucker!
The Turkey Meatloaf Sandwich is delicious as well... I usually try to convince my friends to order it so I can have the best of both worlds.  And while that sounds sneaky and selfish, I know they’ll love it.  The spread is some type of nutty, grainy mustard that adds this spicy warmth to the herbed meatloaf and crusty bread.  It’s heavenly.
Plus, omg, the desserts!  They always have a mouth-watering assortment of cakes, cookies, brownies, pastries, etc.  I am a cake girl... chocolate fudge, coconut, carrot, red velvet ...which shall it be today?
For drinks, you can order one of their many coffees, teas, juices or smoothies, or beers/wines.
It’s one of my favorites.  I wish I had one nearby!”
“Had the chicken artichoke panini and it was 5 star delicious.  I’m sad that there aren’t more of these around Los Angeles.
Others in my group had salads and the steak sandwich which they loved as well.
Highly recommended.  Can’t wait to go there again.”
