Spice Station Goes Right to the Source to Bring the World 300 of the most Exotic Spices on the Planet

Warning: Please Don't Eat This Spicy  Article
By Ilene Proctor
There may not be a trip around the world in your future, but Spice Station is as close as you can get without crossing the continents.  And what's more, you don't have to cash in a CD to enjoy the spicy experience .
Quite frankly, something smelly is going down in Silverlake, 3RD Street Farmer's Market – and it's wonderful. It's a whole new world of flavor and aroma emanating from a new concept store called Spice Station. The stores are an inspired blend of T and A – taste and artistry. Owner Peter Bahlawanian and wife Bronwen Tawse and co-owner Ilene Proctor  have  virtually travelled the earth to discover the most exotic and eclectic spices on the planet. 50% of the spices are organic, and none are irradiated. All are  tagged with exact information.
A well-planned meal is one of life's greatest pleasures. Imagine choosing from an abundance of 300 exotic spices, herbs, salts, peppercorns and chilies, which are available by the ounce, quarter-pound or pound,  including pungent Indian Fenugreek, Indian Urfa Biber, Argentinean coriander, Egyptian dill weed, Syrian Aleppo pepper,  Indonesian nutmeg and Szechuan peppercorns. Spice Station has all sorts of rare gems, from black lava salt, which boasts a strong minerality, to the pungent, smoky Chinese Tepin chile.. Root beer fanatics are flocking to the store to buy sassafras leaves for those who want to make their own. For spice cognoscenti, there's a world of  difference between paprika from Spain and a paprika from Peru..."I get people who walk in here with  eyes wide open who have been looking for these things for ages," Peter says.
There's also a dazzling lineup of natural cane sugars flavored with ingredients like cinnamon, ginger and raspberry. Peter's also sourcing more chilies from Mexico, Peru, Brazil and the Middle East. He's has also trained his staff to blend spices, so he's added options like a salt-free blend and a "high desert blend" for tacos and fajitas. The staple spice remains harissa, which has "Moroccan elements for full bodied flavor." He recommends using the spice to season meat, chicken or ground beef sliders.
One can write a sonnet just aboutSpice Station's  unfamiliar exotic teas, like black Asian Apricot, Moroccan Nights, and Chai  of every color and taste. Wishful thinning?  Just ask Peter to blend one of his great Ginger mixed tea combos.
To grind your own, there are mortars and pestles.  And rub your chicken, fish and meats the Spice Station way with Shawarma Rub, Magic Chicken Rub, Swimming Fish Rub and Beef Kebab Rub, cost $8-10. Anyone who passes on this should have their marriage license revoked.
Colorful index cards list the price, country of origin, uses and medicinal purposes, where applicable. The spices are ground free of charge, or you can take the whole pods, berries and seeds to go or you can buy 9-tin gift sets ($45-75) in options that include salt, chilies and starter spices.Spice Station is currently selling a Holiday set that contains bay leaves, green cardamom, juniper berries, cinnamon chips, nutmeg, cloves, ginger, anise and allspice berries. This packet is designed for baking and mulling for spiced rum or cider.
Peter is also extremely shelf conscious: every spice story is packed with explanations regarding their origins, culinary possibilities, and where applicable, medicinal uses.Tall, round jars line the back wall, while the rest of the open space has sections of small spice jars with screw-tops you can open and boldly take a whiff.
"These are not the kind of spices  you'll find in your grocery store," explained an employee. These are fresh spices, sold by the ounce and bagged or tinned on site for you. They'll last about a year, but should ideally be used within 6 months to capture their peak flavors and potency.. "I want to get as much variety as I can so that people can see, savor a whole new spicy world.
Bahlawanian believes that in general, people are used to paying way too much for spices. "When I started researching for this project, I started doing some pricing. People can often pay $165 a pound for basil, but you're only getting a small jar so you don't realize it. You're paying for the weight of the container and the packaging  instead of actual product," he says. At his place, you can choose from a variety of qualities ranging from under $20 to $40 a pound.
The shop has small jars of every spice available so that shoppers can sniff their wares before purchasing, meanwhile educating themselves by knowledgeable sales help on the nuances of worldly seasonings. They also have personalized spice gift packages available for you last minute-shoppers priced at around $45 to $70.
Another favorite is custom masala and curry blends that will make your chicken--or even your bowl of popcorn--sing, and the staff can give you hints on how to make use of the spices. Surrender to the selection of blends for BBQ-ing or your taco-making adventures have their own section. Try the seductive and haughty dry harissa (usually a paste) from Morocco, smoky and brick-red with  more diverse applications than the typical use in couscous, while the  tantalizing black truffle salt is an intense and luxurious whiff promising bountiful flavor returns,  they suggest you sprinkle on eggs or mac and cheese. The Spice Station also has pre-assembled kits, like a Baker's Set, or a Basic set, but you can put together original  gift sets, too, like the couple assembling a salt-and-peppercorn set to gift to a lucky friend.
Peter is a recycle master, the entire store is constructed from reclaimed wood, and the displays are former pallets.
In just its short life, Spice Station   the  Silverlake has  inspired so many home cooks and professional chefs, three more Spice Stations are in the planning stage by the end of this year alone. And, when celebrity chefs and food critics like Jonathan Gold, Quinn Hatfield and Evan Kleinman, and many others  make Spice Stationa  must, you know they are doing something right.

STATEMENT: ROC United's Saru Jayaraman Responds to Passage of California's Paid Sick Day Bill and its Exclusion of Domestic Workers

Following the California legislature's passage of statewide paid sick days last Friday, Saru Jayaraman, co-founder and co-director of ROC United, issued the following statement:

"The passage of this bill means that millions of restaurant workers in California will no longer live in fear of being forced to work while sick or losing their job, instead of staying home to care for themselves or families. The restaurant industry is one of the sectors in which this policy is needed most, as 90% of restaurant workers surveyed nationally report not having paid sick days, and more than 60% report having to cook, prepare, and serve food to millions of restaurant goers while sick. California has finally joined the nine cities that have already enacted similar policies, but such momentum to fulfill a fundamental right must continue to grow."

"However, home care workers were not included in the passage of this bill. Like restaurant workers, home care workers are predominantly women -- and they are routinely excluded from paid sick day protections and minimum wage increases. Such an extreme measure is unjust and disrespectful to such a crucial enclave of America's workforce.

"Hopefully the irony is not lost on the California State legislature that as a result of this exclusion, the women whose job it is to care for someone else's families have not been afforded the very basic, protected right to take care of their own."

DoD Agrees to Share Space Data with South Korea

DoD News, Defense Media Activity

WASHINGTON, Sept. 5, 2014 - The Defense Department has signed a memorandum of understanding to share space situational awareness data with South Korea's Defense Ministry, Pentagon officials said today.

The accord provides South Korea's air force with higher-quality and more timely space information tailored for its specific purposes in exchange for satellite-positional and radio-frequency information it will provide to U.S. Strategic Command, the DoD agency responsible for space situational awareness, officials said.

Douglas L. Loverro, deputy assistant secretary of defense for space policy, and Maj. Gen. Chang Kyeong Seok, the South Korean Defense Ministry's director general of policy planning, signed the memorandum Sept. 2 on the sidelines of the Space Cooperation Working Group.

"Cooperating with international partners to develop coalition approaches to space is a priority for the Department of Defense," Loverro said. South Korea joins five nations and many other organizations already participating in space situational awareness data sharing agreements with DoD.

Peaceful use of space

By signing the memorandum, Chang said, the South Korean Defense Ministry and the DoD have come to participate in the efforts of international community for the peaceful use of space. "This opportunity will strengthen the [U.S.-South Korean alliance] through increasing the level of space cooperation between both nations' armed forces."

Such agreements enhance multinational space cooperation and streamline the process for DoD partners to request specific information gathered by Stratcom's Joint Space Operations Center at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, DoD officials said. The information is crucial for launch support, satellite maneuver planning, support for on-orbit anomalies, electromagnetic interference investigation, satellite decommissioning activities and on-orbit conjunction assessments, officials added.

"These space situational awareness data sharing agreements allow us to expand partnerships and enable information sharing in the increasingly congested, contested and competitive space environment," said Navy Adm. Cecil D. Haney, Stratcom's commander. "These agreements ultimately protect our capabilities by enhancing spaceflight safety and preventing potentially catastrophic orbital collisions."

Pentagon Confirms Death of al-Shabab Co-founder

DoD News, Defense Media Activity

WASHINGTON, Sept. 5, 2014 - Ahmed Abdi al-Muhammad, also known Ahmed Godane, the co-founder of the al-Shabab jihadist group, was killed Sept. 1 in a U.S. airstrike in Somalia, Pentagon Press Secretary Navy Rear Adm. John Kirby confirmed today.

"The U.S. military undertook operations against Godane on Sept. 1, which led to his death," Kirby said in a statement. "Removing Godane from the battlefield is a major symbolic and operational loss" to al-Shabab," Kirby said in a statement. "The United States works in coordination with its friends, allies and partners to counter the regional and global threats posed by violent extremist organizations."

At a Sept. 2 Pentagon news conference, Kirby said manned and unmanned aircraft operated by U.S. special operations forces participated in an airstrike that destroyed an al-Shabab encampment and a vehicle located at that camp. Kirby added that the operation was a direct strike against the al-Shabab network, and specifically against Godane.

The operation was carried out after actionable intelligence was obtained that suggested that Godane was present at the camp, located south of the Somali capital of Mogadishu, the press secretary said at the news conference, noting that it was too early to tell whether the strike had killed him.

The aircraft fired several Hellfire missiles and laser-guided munitions, and no U.S. forces were present on the ground, either before or after the attack, he added.

Al-Shabab is a jihadist group based in Somalia. It has claimed responsibility for last year's attack on the Westgate Mall in Nairobi, Kenya, which resulted in more than 70 deaths and 200 injured. The group is also believed to be responsible for many bombings, including suicide attacks in Mogadishu and in central and northern Somalia, Kirby said Sept. 2.

One Man's War Against an Evangelical Coup in America's Military

By Michael  L. Weinstein and Davin Seay

By Ilene Proctor

Under the "boy emperor", George W. Bush we  entered the Dark Ages in earnest, pursuing a short-sighted path that can only accelerate our decline. What we are now seeing are the obvious characteristics of the West after the fall of Rome: the triumph of religion over reason; the atrophy of education and critical thinking; the integration of religion, the state, and the apparatus of torture--a troika that was for Voltaire the central horror of the pre- Enlightenment world; and the political and a and economic marginalization of our culture.

Add to this the pervasive hostility toward science on the part of the current administration and we get a clear picture of the Enlightenment being steadily rolled back.  Religion is used to explain terror attacks as part of a cosmic conflict between Good and Evil rather than in terms of political processes.... Manichaean's  rules across the United States. According to a poll taken by Time magazine fifty-nine percent of Americans believe that John's apocalyptic prophecies in the Book of Revelation will be fulfilled, and nearly all of these believe that the faithful will be taken up into heaven in the 'Rapture,

Fundamentalism and democracy are completely antithetical when the former attempt to engage the machinery of the state to further its parochial biblical world view.  The opposite of the Enlightenment, of course, is tribalism, groupthink; and more and more, this is the direction in which the United States is going...

WITH GOD ON OUR SIDE  One Man's War Against an Evangelical Coup in America's Military By Michael  L. Weinstein and Davin Seay shines a klieg light on one of the most elite educational institutions in the world. The United States Air Force Academy which,  from its inception has attracted the best and brightest, producing outstanding leaders not only in the military but throughout American society.

Michael "Mikey" Weinstein, founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, and his family have a long tradition of service in the United States armed forces.  However, Weinstein is now waging a different kind of war. With support at the very highest levels, evangelical groups within the military believe that, serving your country requires  the priorities of the military personnel to be, in the words of the Officer's Christian Fellowship: " a spiritually transformed US Military" literally "with ambassadors for Christ in uniform"  and "empowered by the Holy Spirit." Weinstein and other American patriots see the evangelicals' intrusion into military operations and affairs as an affront to the Constitution they were sworn to uphold – and a violation of this nation's traditionally sacrosanct separation of church and state.

Ten thousand cadets and staff at the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, open up their federally-funded newspaper and see an a solicitation signed by hundreds of Academy senior officials and their spouses  unabashedly proclaiming, "We believe that the only real hope for mankind is Jesus Christ!" Cadets are bombarded with official command "encouragement" to see the movie The Passion of the Christ at local movie theatres, and stridently sectarian fliers are strategically placed at every cadet's seat for three straight days in the Academy dining hall. The Air Force Deputy Chief of Chaplains tells a New York Times Reporter, in a front page story, that it is now official U.S, Air Force policy to "Reserve the right to evangelize the un-churched." (W: April 26 M the Washington Post (July 16 2006): "Let me make it clear. I would shed my last drop of blood to defend their right to hold their biblical worldview….But I will not accept my government telling me who are the children of the greater God and who are the children of a lesser God.  That's a difference I will not defend – I will fight them tooth and nail, and lay down a withering field of fire and leave sucking chest wounds – if they engage the machinery of the state, which is what they are doing."

A vitally important book at a critical time in our nation's history, With God on our Side  is the story of one man's courageous struggle to thwart a tsunami  of  evangelism permeating America's military and to prevent a taxpayer-funded theocracy in which only the true believers have powers.

Besides sticks and stones thrown at him, Mikey has been reviled by the fundamentalist Christian right, and has been given many names by his evangelical enemies including Satan, Satan's lawyer, the Antichrist, That Godless, Secular Leftist, The Antagonizer of All Christians, The Most Dangerous Man in America and, most recently and perhaps most colorfully, The Field General of the Godless Armies of Satan.

When a country goes to war, it sends a cargo of good and bad

men and women;  the vast majority of whom have fine, noble and heroic sensibilities, and, unfortunately  a minute minority of sadists and criminals slip in. The country then pours this entire,  mixed bag of people into another society -- and with them, their courage and  nobility; but also, their problems, their frailties, and their crimes. And then this entire spectrum is subjected to the kind of tremendous stress and strain, endemic only to the experience of war, that's almost beyond human endurance.

The point is that war is an inferno, and so spiritually and physically catastrophic for both sides, that it must never be allowed to be manipulated by an unconstitutional cabal of evangelical zealots and mindless so-called patriots.

Why is Mikey Weinstein fighting the religious right take-over in the military: The answer: a recent exposé by Mike Fish aired an interview with Lt. Col Kauzlarich, who was the "cross commander" of the Rangers in Khoust, Afghanistan, in April 2004. Kauzlarich, in a stunning display of Christian empathy, blamed the family for continuing to ask questions about the circumstances of Pat's death, and suggested that the reason they'd found no closure was that infidels such as themselves (the Tillmans did not belong to a church), when they die, are only "worm dirt."

Important Statistic in the US Force Academy: out the 2595 cadets listing some form of "protestant" as their religious preference: 1650 belong to mainline and progressive (non-fundamentalist) protestant churches  945 belong to Fundamentalists and Evangelical protestant churches. Yet, of the 10 Protestant Chaplains serving the cadets: 9 were Fundamentalist, Evangelical, or Conservative Christian. Only  one mainline progressive Chaplain served 1650 cadets while 945 Evangelicals were served by 9 Chaplains PLUS the resources and personnel of multiple Fundamentalist para-church organization Spire Leaders.   Look at tremendous increase in number of military chaplains…almost all evangelical.  The AF Academy in the 60s-early 80s had 6 Chaplains for a larger cadet population than exists now…. 3 mainline protestant chaplains, 2 catholic priests, and a rabbi.  In 2004, I discovered that the Academy now has these same 6 chaplains described above.  But in addition, they have an additional 12 evangelical chaplains, PLUS 25 reserve chaplains (nearly all evangelical) assigned to the Academy.

Faith Based Military (Contractor):  Read Blackwater.  Erik Prince (a devout evangelical – religiously and politically) is running a huge mercenary Army of nearly 125,000 as part of Bush's Praetorian Guard.  Check out the evangelical links and the cross over of Pentagon execs to Blackwater payroll.  Joe Scmitz who whitewashed the Boykin bizarre behavior and the evangelical cancer at the AF Academy, moved from DOD IG to an exec of Blackwater.  He is a self proclaimed evangelical politico also. And there are many more.

Michael L. Weinstein is founder and president of the Military Religious Freedom Foundation.  He is an attorney and businessman who served on active duty in the USAF as a Judge Advocate General (JAG) for ten years and also spent three years as an attorney in the Reagan White House and formerly General Counsel for H. Ross Perot and Perot Systems Corporation. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  Davis Seay is the author of seven books.  He lives in Woodland Hills, California.

They both quickly recognized the benefits of each other's expertise towards the versatility and creativity for AIDA Cosmetics products. Aida and Amberly both strongly believe that every woman should feel beautiful and glamorous without having to spend a fortune on cosmetics products. That shared belief is what led Amberly to become a co-owner in 2012.

Aida explains "I'm a big risk-taker, and America has given me the chance to take calculated risks. This gave me more room to think of new ways of doing things." Aida is a pioneer in the new wave of cosmetics: daring, experimental, gloriously non-conforming , which is why Aida  has become the magnet for those in quest of a makeup that expresses a woman's creativity and individuality.  Her  philosophy of beauty is a powerful fusion of expertise and experimentation.

(Sound effect: typing, keyboard) For your eyes only.

I'm Bob Karson with the discovery files--new advances in science and engineering from the National Science Foundation.

Reading glasses to look at a computer screen? So yesterday! How about computer screens that wear glasses, instead of the people staring at themonitors?

That's the idea behind a new technology from computer and vision scientists at the University of California, Berkeley and MIT.

The screen, in this case the display on an I-pod, has a sort of "lens" placed over it a mask with tiny pinholes, sandwiched between two layers of clear plastic. Using an algorithm developed at UC Berkeley, the technique distorts the image in such a way that when the light passes through the pinhole array, the image looks sharp to the intended user. To others, the screen will look blurry.

This is vision correction through computation, instead of optics. It could aid the hundreds of millions of us who need corrective lenses to use our smartphones, tablets and computers. More important, it could help those with highly complex visual problems that cannot be corrected with eyewear. The team hopes to make improvements like displays that could simultaneously bring clarity to multiple users with different vision problems looking at the same screen.

I suppose this "contact lens" would be a lot harder to lose.

Delve into the Inferno of The Last Circle

Danny Casalaro's Investigation Into The Octopus and the Promis Software Scandal  by Cheri Seymour

Ripped from  A Chilling HeadlineMurder Story:

July 2, 2010

Why has a Self-Confessed Mass Murder Mafia Hit Man Been Freed to Prey Again on Society?  From an Indio CA courtroom 7/2/2010 * A mustread Jimmy Hughes bone-chilling confession

Before he met his God, James "Jimmy" Hughes was a self-confessed former mafia hit-man with multiple murders under his belt.  In this photo he points to the crowd where his family and friends are as he leaves the courtroom a free man after the case against him was dismissed on Thursday at Riverside Superior Court in Indio. Hughes was arrested in September 2009 for the 1981 triple homicide known as the "Octopus Murders." Rachel Begley, daughter of murder victim Ralph Arthur Boger, is consoled by famed attorney Robin Sax after the case against James "Jimmy" Hughes was dismissed on Thursday in Riverside Superior Court. Begley left the courtroom in tears, but said she isn't done fighting. "It's not the end, definitely not the end," she said.

Hughes — the only person ever charged in connection with the shooting deaths of former Cabazon Band of Mission Indians tribal leader Fred Alvarez; his girlfriend, Patricia Castro; and friend Ralph Boger — was  set to be released from the Riverside County Jail in Indio on July 1st.

Victim's daughter says she's come too far to give up on 'Octopus Murders' case

Begley has investigated her father's death  for years, and investigators have credited her with uncovering new evidence in the case, known as the "Octopus Murders" because some believe the killings are connected to tribal dealings and government agencies.

"How many people must die or suffer at the hands of James Hughes before he is brought to justice?" Begley asked in a statement delivered in court.

"He is literally getting away with murder if he is released today."

But Wells granted prosecutors' request to drop the case and Hughes was released from the Indio jail on the day of the hearing, July 1. Putting poison on top of poison, that date was the anniversary of the triple homicide 29 years ago.

The nagging question is: who is the so-called justice system protecting by letting this self-confessed (and his confession is chilling) mass murder go?

Rachel Begley's is but one of the crime stories detailed in the book The Last Circle by Cheri Seymour.

To understand the complexity of this case, one must delve into the inferno of  The Last Circle, a meticulous investigation into one of the most organized and disturbing criminal enterprises that ever scorched America.

Because of the notoriety of the Octopus murders, The Last Circle has been an Internet sensation for 14 years, since 1996. To clear up any confusion to the reader, the author Cheri Seymour  used a pseudonym, Carol Marshall, on the Internet version.   She did not place TLC on the Internet, this was done by someone at Cornell University who got a hold of the manuscript. The Internet version contains only 15 unedited, unpolished chapters, whereas the completed BOOK contains 25 chapters.  The last 10 chapters are by far the most provocative.

Investigative reporter Cheri Seymour devoted the last 18 years following the trail of the notorious Octopus murders, probing the behind the headlines dynamic of a maze that encompassed multiple covert operations, involving  corrupt politicians NSC, CIA and DOJ officials, Wackenhut, Music Corporation of America, Iran Contra, organized crime figures, intelligence agents,  drug trafficking, arm sales,  high tech money laundering, and multiple deaths including former Cabazon Band of Mission Indians tribal leader Fred Alvarez; his girlfriend, Patricia Castro; and friend Ralph Boger by self-confessed Mafia hit man Jimmy Hughes as well as the death of Washington D.C. investigative journalist Danny Casalaro, and many more.

Through law enforcement agencies as far ranging as the FBI, U.S. Customs, police and sheriff's departments, and even the RCMP National Security Division, Seymour learned that the official head of the Octopus crime ring resided in the United States DOJ, cemented together by Reagan's out-of-control presidential administration, its slimy tentacles supported by a cabal of "old boy" mega-wealthy cronies, literally true believers whose faith dictated that the end always justifies the means.

These under-the-radar billionaires give corruption a new depth of despair as  they defecated all over the Constitution, back-doored the intelligence community, and barnstormed new trails into drug cartels and organized crime, while simultaneously growing new tentacles into every facet of criminal enterprise. No amount of thievery or chicanery was too low for them as they plowed their way into high-tech software (PROMIS) for use in money laundering and espionage; illegal drug and arms trafficking in Latin America, and fierce exploitation of sovereign Indian nations. Welcome to the criminal abyss.

The Last Circle, whose title refers to Dante's Inferno, educates and inspires because it proves beyond a shadow of doubt, that one person, dedicated and determined, can make a difference in bringing to justice high-level criminals, no matter what their supposed stature in society.  That author is Cheri Seymour, a woman without parallel, in a crime story without parallel.

The Last Circle is due to be released at Barnes & Noble bookstores in September 2010.   See The Last Circle website for further details:

This is one of Jimmy Hughes' confessions (excerpt):

A Hit Man
with a New Mission

Jimmy Hughes, Honduras

After a six-year hitch in the military, I became a professional hit man for the Mafia. I collected money, hurt a lot of people and saw a lot of blood. I know what it's like to cut the throat of a man, see a man die, or throw a man in the trunk of a car and take him to his death. I did many horrible things. I allowed myself to do whatever was necessary.

One day I had a contract on a man. They had paid me a lot of money to kill this person. I travelled over many states, and walked into the man's house one day, pulled out my pistol, and put a bullet in everybody's head.

There were many people there that day because he was having a party. As I stood there with the gun in my hand, I suddenly realized that all those people were dead. They had died instantly. I had been paid to kill one man, but had killed half a dozen people. The rest had just been in the wrong place at the wrong time ---"

America’s Nazi Secret by John Loftus

An Insider's History of How the US  DOJ Obstructed Congress By Investigations into Famous American Families Who Funded Hitler, Stalin and Arab terrorists

Despite government censorship, the original version of this book, The Belarus Secret, was the Knopf Nominee for the Pulitzer Prize in History, and earned 60 Minutesan Emmy Award for Outstanding Investigative Journalism. Thirty years later, this final manuscript hasnot been submitted for government review. All the censored items, and more, much more, are revealed for the first time. A third of modern history has been classified, until now.

The Nuremburg trials were fixed.  The US Justice Department did it. Some of America's most influential families funded Hitler. Ambitious lawyers in Washington covered it up under a cloak of national security.  The Justice Department brought Nazis into America by the thousands to be trained as cold war spies.

The Attorney General personally sponsored some of the worst war criminals for immigration to the USA, including the chief of the Ukrainian security service, Mykola Lebed.  His troops murdered tens of thousands of Poles, Ukrainians and Jews, including Simon Wiesenthal's mother.

In 1985, the Justice Department pawned this Ukrainian mass murderer off to Congress as an innocent leader of the Anti-Nazi resistance. Almost everything the Justice Department has ever told Congress about Nazis in America has been a conscious and deliberate lie. The hunt for Nazi war criminals has been a mere public relations effort to placate Jews and WWII veterans.

It gets worse.

For sixty years, the US Department of Justice has remained the legal shield of the Arab-Nazi network, known as the Muslim Brotherhood. America is the only major nation still refusing to designate the Brotherhood as a terrorist group. Thirty years ago Justice Department Attorney John Loftus read the Top Secret Files and was ordered into silence under threat of imprisonment. Now the declassification clock has run down. Loftus says it is time for Justice to face the jury about where the Arab-Nazi connection went wrong and who is really to blame for 9/11.

America's Nazi Secret: An Insider's History of How the United States Department of Justice Obstructed Congress By Blocking Congressional Investigations into Famous American Families Who Funded Hitler, Stalin and Arab terrorists; Lying to Congress, the GAO and the CIA about the Postwar Immigration of Eastern European Nazi War Criminals to the US; and Concealing from the 9/11 Investigators the role of the Arab Nazi War Criminals in Recruiting Modern Middle Eastern Terrorist Groups.

John Loftus is a former US government prosecutor, a former Army intelligence officer, and the author of numerous books, including The Belarus Secret; The Secret War Against the Jews; Unholy Trinity: How the Vatican's Nazi Networks Betrayed Western Intelligence to the Soviets;and Unholy Trinity: The Vatican, the Nazis, and the Swiss Banks.

Loftus is the author of seven books, three of which were made into films, two were international best sellers, and one was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize in History. His just published work, America's Nazi Secret, is an expose of the U.S. Justice Department's role in hiding Nazi war criminals from Congressional investigations, including the Ukrainian Nazi chief whose troops murdered Simon Wiesenthal's mother.

In his latest book, Loftus also reveals how the U.S. State Department used Arab Nazis to recruit the Mujahideen in Afghanistan, but then became the recruiters of the modern Jihadist terrorist movement.

Loftus once held some of the highest security clearances in the U.S. and NATO. His 60 Minutes segment won the Emmy Award for outstanding investigative journalism. A documentary film based largely on his research, American Secrets, will be released in theaters in 2011. He has frequently appeared as an intelligence expert on national television networks and has served as a consultant for Congress, Israel, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada.

A Florida resident, Loftus served as the first Irish Catholic president of the Florida Holocaust Museum. He has been president of the International Intelligence Summit and co-host of the world's first Secular Islam Summit. He currently hosts his own weeknight radio show, The Loftus Report, broadcast live from WSNR in New York and on the Internet on

He has appeared regularly as a media commentator on ABC National Radio and Fox News.
